WHAT IS CROSSFIT

CrossFit is a Strength and Conditioning Program that focuses on improving General Physical Preparedness (GPP). CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, functional movements performed at a high intensity. In CrossFit, you will run, jump, row, pull, push, throw, lift and use your body in the way it was meant to be used. The workouts vary from day-to-day, and we always push ourselves to find new limits. The entire CrossFit program is designed to do one thing – increase your fitness. Fitness is an increase in work capacity over broad times and modal domains. Or in other words, our ability to move more weight, further distance, faster.​

So many people  say CrossFit isn't for everyone, but here at 2.2, we disagree.  The beauty of CrossFit is that it is universally scale-able, meaning we can tailor each workout, no matter your age, weight, or skill level, to you.  The class-based format is intended to ignite friendly competition between members, as well as create personal goals to improve upon. ​

OUR PROGRAMMING

The idea behind CrossFit programming is to completely tax the body’s energy systems with each and every workout.
CrossFit is designed to prepare the body for anything, at any time, through movements ranging from weightlifting and gymnastics, to running and rowing.  Our daily workouts are always changing, preventing the feeling of monotony that often accompanies “working out.”  We follow a traditional CrossFit schedule of three days on, one day rest, two days on, one day rest.
Classes are one hour in length and include: 
  • Warm-up
  • Strength
  • Metcon 
  • Post WOD (optional)
A typical day at CrossFit 2.2:
  • Dynamic Stretches
  • Clean and Jerk Progressions
  • 5 x 4 @ 85% - 1 Clean + 1 Front Squat + 1 Jerk
  • 10 Min AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible)
          10 Burpee & 10 Pull Ups

Members are limited to attending 3 CrossFit classes each week
